Meet your board-certified pediatric dentist

Dr. Jessica Ton, DDS

Dr. Jessica Ton is a board-certified pediatric dentist committed to redefining the dental experience for children and their families. Born and raised in San Jose, California, in an immigrant family from Vietnam, Dr. Jessica grew up translating for her parents during medical appointments, often navigating conversations she didn’t fully understand herself. Those early experiences inspired her to pursue a healthcare career where communication, empathy, and accessibility take center stage.

She began her academic journey at UC Berkeley, where she earned her undergraduate degree. Realizing her passion for dentistry but seeking to strengthen her academic foundation, she enrolled in a post-baccalaureate program at CSU East Bay. Her determination and love for community health guided her to the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, where she earned her DDS. She went on to complete rigorous specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the University of Southern California in 2022.

Throughout her education, Dr. Jessica remained committed to serving children from underrepresented and lower-income communities, values shaped by her own upbringing in East San Jose. She devoted time to community service programs, mentored underserved students, promoted oral health awareness, and treated children with complex needs during residency.

Today, she brings that same heart for service and education to her own practice in Milpitas.

Dr. Jessica excels in helping children and parents feel at ease in the dental chair. She values collaboration with families and approaches care in a friendly, judgment-free way. Her favorite services include oral health education, pediatric exams, and preventative treatments that help little smiles grow strong for life. Her goal is always to ensure every visit is positive, informative, and supportive, from the first baby tooth to the teen years and beyond.

When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Jessica enjoys cooking, strength training, traveling, and tending to her beloved backyard plants. Just like her growing garden, she believes that every child thrives with the right mix of care, patience, and encouragement. Through her practice, she hopes to cultivate a space where families feel deeply cared for, every smile is celebrated, and healthy habits take root for generations to come.

What to expect at your child’s first visit

From the very first appointment, we aim to make every visit calm, educational, and child-friendly. Getting started is easy—once your appointment is confirmed, you’ll receive a confirmation text, and when you arrive, you’ll be warmly greeted by Dr. Jessica or one of our friendly assistants. Your child’s first visit is a gentle introduction to dental care focused on learning, prevention, and fun, while we take the time to answer your questions and help your child feel comfortable every step of the way.

From start to finish

Our kid-friendly office is thoughtfully designed for comfort, relaxation, and play. Parents can enjoy coffee or water while children explore spaces tailored just for them—from cozy private rooms for younger children and infants to an open-bay area with ceiling-mounted TVs for older kids. Throughout the visit, we use age-appropriate language, positive reinforcement, and gentle encouragement to create a safe, reassuring experience. Before you leave, we’ll help schedule the next visit, and a member of our team will personally follow up to make sure your child is doing well.
